BGC Cement – Hard work recognised with Apprentice of the Year nomination

BGC Cement electrical apprentice Laurina Fitzpatrick has been nominated for the NECA WA Apprentice of the Year award, in recognition of her hard work and outstanding performance during the past 12 months.

While working as a Cemtech laboratory technician with BGC Cement, Laurina expressed interest in pursuing training as an electrical apprentice and was offered this opportunity by BGC Cement working under Electrical Group Training.

BGC Cement Senior Operations Supervisor Clinton Schmidt supported Laurina’s nomination for the award.

“Laurina is a hardworking member of the BGC Cement team, with a strong work ethic and commitment to safe work practices. I’m proud of her growth in this position and wish her all the best as she progresses through the award selection process,” Clinton said.

Winners will be announced at an awards dinner in Perth in September.
