BGC Cement has won the contract to supply cement for the Warradarge Wind Farm – a project funded and developed by Bright Energy Investments, a  partnership between Synergy and the private sector.

The works for Warradarge Wind Farm will see the construction and installation of 51 wind turbines.

Working alongside Mobile Concreting Solutions, who will be delivering the concrete supply, BGC Cement will provide approximately 11,000 tonnes of Low Heat Cement for the Wind Turbine bases.

The Wind Farm will produce an output of 180 megawatts of solar electricity in total and is expected to create nearly 200 jobs for local Western Australians.

Mobile Concreting Solutions’ Warradarge Batch Plant Manager Shane Kelly expressed genuine appreciation towards BGC Cement’s service to date.

“From the office staff to delivery drivers, BGC has consistently met requirements to ensure the smooth delivery of this project. It is the responsiveness of BGC staff that stands out to us here on site,” said Shane.

The project has seen 23 turbine bases constructed to date with the remaining 28 to be completed over the next few months.
