In April, BGC Cement engaged SAI Global to complete an eight-day audit of their HSEQ Management Systems against ISO Certification Standards.
The outcome of this audit has resulted in BGC Cement achieving an ISO14001 Environmental Management System Certification and maintaining their ISO45001 Safety Management System and ISO9001 Quality Management System Certifications.
Over the past six months, BGC Cement has undertaken substantial work to align the Environmental Management System to the United Nations Sustainability Goals. To support environmental systems and programs, an Environmental Awareness Training course was also developed and implemented within the business.
The Environmental Management System Certification is a vital element of BGC’s Environmental Social Governance Strategy and is a key milestone for BGC Cement. The certification will further enhance their environmental commitment to customers and the community.
