Containers for Change to reduce waste and build a sustainable future
BGC is the first corporation that has successfully implemented the ‘Containers for Change’ initiative across multiple locations in WA.
Since Containers for Change started on 1st October 2020, almost 1.5 billion 10c containers have been kept out of landfill and recycled. That is enough to wrap around the Earth 6.8 times!
So far, $5 million dollars in refunds has been donated to sporting clubs, schools, Men’s Sheds, community groups and charities such as The Royal Flying Doctor Service and Lifeline.
