BGC Cement have been successful in securing a momentous three-year contract extension with Evolution Mining for the supply of bulk General Purpose cement and Low Heat palletised cement to their Mungari Operations based in Kalgoorlie.
After numerous unprecedented challenges with logistics and costs, this type of mining contract extension is a testament to the unwavering determination and exceptional work of the Sales, Production, Administration and Logistics teams involved. Negotiations commenced in November 2022 and after five months of honest communication and a Mungari mine site visit, the fully executed contract was signed in April 2023.
BGC Cement’s Head of Sales, Rob Turkovic, stated that he is “extremely proud of the whole team from Production and Logistics, through to Administration and Sales teams. The history of excellent service went a long way to securing another three years with a great partner in Evolution Mining.”
With an estimated production of approximately 45,000 tonnes of cement at the Mungari site over the next three years, all BGC staff have no doubt that the team will continue to thrive and achieve even greater success!
