The Builders Choice brand was born out of BGC’s long and highly successful experience in the industry.
With a capacity of over 2,000T per day, our plants are in full production providing superior cement, lime and dry mix products to the Western Australian market.
Our bagged range includes a wide variety of cements, blended cements, hydrated lime and dry mix products to suit most building, construction and handyman applications.
Hydrolime
A building lime recommended for the use in cement mortars and renders. Mortars and renders that contain Hydrolime have better workability, greater bond strength and in the hardened state, flexibility.
Hydrolime also gives mortars and renders the ability to ‘self heal’ fine cracks that may appear over time.
Lime ‘n’ Lite
Lime ‘n’ Lite is a pre-blended cement specifically designed for M2 and M3 mortars. Made from an equal blend (1:1 by volume) of Ultra Creme and Hydrolime, it takes the guesswork out of on-site batching.
Lime ‘n’ Lite is the perfect product if you want a cream-coloured mortar when laying bricks or blocks. Lime ‘n’ Lite also extends board life and does not require air-entrainers to be added to the mix.
Lime ‘n’ Grey
A pre-blended grey coloured cement specifically designed for M2 and M3 mortars. Made from an equal blend (1:1 by volume) of Grey Cement and Hydrolime, it takes the guesswork out of on site batching.
Lime ‘n’ Grey is the perfect cement for all brick and block laying.
Mortars containing Lime ‘n’ Grey will have a longer board life and do not require air-entrainers to be added to the mix.
Lime ‘n’ Grey Coastal M4
A pre-blended grey coloured cement specifically designed for M4 mortar. Made from 2/3 : 1/3 blend (67% : 33% by volume) of Grey Cement and Hydrolime, it takes the guesswork out of on site batching.
Lime ‘n’ Grey Coastal M4 is the perfect cement for all brick and block laying.

Lime ‘n’ Lite Coastal M4
A pre-blended white coloured cement specifically designed for M4 mortar. Made from 2/3 : 1/3 blend (67% : 33% by volume) of White Cement and Hydrolime, it takes the guesswork out of on site batching.

Low Heat Cement
Low Heat Cement is a specially engineered cement for use where the heat evolved during the cement hydration process needs to be reduced. In mass concrete situations using normal Type GP cements, this heat of hydration can cause significant temperature gradients within the structure and thermal cracking may result. The use of Low Heat Cement (Type LH) can minimise this effect.
Low Heat Cement can also be used in soil stabilisation, underground mining and marine concrete applications where engineering properties such as reworkability and durability are required.
Plasterers Cement
A pre-blended mix of grey cement and hydrated lime specifically designed for rendering purposes. It takes the guesswork out of on site batching.
Plasterers Cement is the perfect product for your rendering requirements.
Plasterers Cement does not require air-entrainers to be added to the mix.
Drymix
Fast Setting Concrete
Fast Setting Concrete is a pre-blended dry mixture of grey cement, sand, stone (aggregate) and special setting additives. It is used in situations where rapid setting of the concrete mix is required.
Typical uses include the setting of fence, pergola or clothesline posts, and handyman concrete. Place mixture in the hole, just add water, mix well and the concrete mix will set in about 5-15 minutes. Fast Setting Concrete should not be used for structural concrete purposes.
Floor Screed
Builders Choice Floor Screed is a precisely manufactured blend of the highest quality cement and finely graded sands. Builders Choice Floor Screed just needs to be mixed with with clean potable water and it’s ready to go. The screed can be used to form and shape required floor surfaces. It can also take floor coverings and it can be waterproofed over. Builders Choice Floor Screed finishes to a hard, impact resistant surface that can be used internally and externally.
