BGC Cement is the cement manufacturing division of BGC (Australia) Pty Ltd.
With annual production capacity exceeding 1.5-million tonnes, BGC Cement can provide a range of cement types suitable for general premixed concrete applications, concrete precast products manufacture, cemented aggregate fill, cemented paste fill, controlled low- strength material, shotcrete, road stabilisation and culvert backfill purposes.
Cement types include General Purpose (GP), General Blended (GB), Low Heat (LH), as well as Grey or Ultra Creme High Early Strength (HE/UCHE). BGC Cement can also supply supplementary cementitious materials such as Milled Slag. Blended products, custom designed for specific technical performance, can also be provided. Cement products are provided in bulk pneumatic tankers, bulker bags (FIBCs) and in conventional paper sacks.
As well as being a major supplier of cement to the premixed concrete and concrete products industries, BGC Cement supplies to the mining and civil contracting industries for major projects. Significant quantities of bulk cement can be easily accommodated for intensive mine backfill campaigns or large concrete pours.

Plant & Equipment
BGC Cement’s manufacturing facilities are based at our Canning Vale and Naval Base sites within the Perth metropolitan area. These sites combined have nearly 400,000 tonnes of raw material capacity and over 60,000 tonnes of finished product capacity.
BGC Cement also has bulk cement silos in Karratha, Port Hedland (Wedgefield) and Darwin (East Arm). Its four cement grinding mills, blending plants, packaging plants and extensive silo storage facilities provide an efficient world-class cement production operation.
Through its sister transport division BGC Transport, BGC Cement operates an extensive fleet of its own specialised pneumatic road tankers allowing for rapid haulage of bulk cement products all across Western Australia.
BGC currently operates a fleet of approximately 40 prime movers with 110 pneumatic tankers that are managed from our Naval Base logistics office.
BGC is a member of the Accredited Mass Managed Scheme to Level 3, which allows an additional 3.5T on tri-axles and an additional 1.5 tonnes on tandem axels to be loaded for deliveries.
Standard tanker payloads of 25, 46, 64, and 76 tonnes are available. Each cement tanker set is equipped with its own compressor allowing for fully independent discharge of bulk cement into customers’ storage silos.
A comprehensive fleet of on-site vertical silos, mobile horizontal silos, pneumatic storage pods, and ISO cement containers are available for hire to assist in short-term on-site cement storage requirements.
Safety, Chain of Responsibility & Environment
BGC has extensive safety management processes and practices in place to ensure a safe working environment at our sites, and at our customers’ sites when delivering product. We have modelled the company’s safety systems on Australian Standard AS4801.
BGC Cement follows the requirements of the Chain of Responsibility, set out by the National Heavy Vehicle Regulator, and ensures that all despatches are in accordance with these rules.
We are an environmentally aware company that maintains a good working relationship with the Department of Water and Environmental Regulation. Our annual environmental compliance audits detail how we not only comply with the requirements but also exceed them. All our sites have extensive dust monitoring systems in place, as well as preventative maintenance schedules to minimise dust emissions, noise pollution and product waste.
Special techniques, expertise, quality certification
BGC Cement is a Quality Endorsed company with ISO9001 certification. Our in-house testing division BGC Cemtech is a fully accredited NATA testing laboratory for cement, concrete and related products. Research and development for specialised mining applications can also be undertaken.
BGC maintains a fully accredited Vehicle Maintenance and Fatigue Management System, which is independently audited to Main Roads WA and WorkSafe requirements and standards.
